Our volunteers are essential to the smooth functioning of our clinic. As there are no paid receptionists or medical assistants, our volunteers are responsible for the front-end support of the clinic. They do everything from check patients in, use electronic medical records, prepare labs, answer phones and field requests, organize and orchestrate fundraising efforts, and manage the website. As many of the healthcare providers at the clinic are residents on rotation, volunteers also provide significant continuity to daily operations.

We look for friendly, enthusiastic, and dedicated volunteers who have a particular interest in working with our patient population and are able to commit to volunteering once a week on either Monday or Tuesday evenings for at least one year. We are extremely fortunate to have a dedicated crew of volunteers to help everything run smoothly. However, our turn-over is low, and we have very few volunteer positions available. In a typical year, we may only add one or two new volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering you may e-mail us at for more information, but please understand that we are able to accommodate very few of the many qualified applicants that we receive.
